L-Methylfolate is the activated form of folate used by the body for many biochemical reactions.

Folic acid is the most common form of folate in supplements and fortified foods. However, it requires the enzyme methylenetetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR) to be converted to L-Methylfolate. We offer supplementary active L-Methylfolate to circumvent this conversion.

About half of the population have genetic variations that reduce the ability of the MTHFR enzyme to make this conversion. For this population, L-Methylfolate supplementation is far more effective in providing active folate.

Suggested use

As a dietary supplement, take 1 capsule daily, or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Other ingredients

Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, rice extract blend (rice bran extract, rice hulls, gum arabic, sunflower oil), microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide.
